You can choose from a wide range of tours. You may want to have an all-Wales tour in a coach, visiting all the highlights of the country or a visit to a particular region, possibly following a specific theme or itinerary. We can organize walking tours or tours involving the Great Little Trains of Wales.
I have an in-depth knowledge of Welsh history, religion and language, with several post-graduate degrees and diplomas.I am a site guide for one of the most important castles in the country and have a wealth of experience guiding all types of group in several European languages.
I’m officially qualified to guide in English, French, German and Welsh and worked for over 20 years as a translator in Brussels. I can also converse in several other language such as Russian and Dutch.
Tours of up to 10 days can be organized. The minimum period of engagement is one half-day. Please get in touch for specific details – you can find how to contact me at the bottom of the website.
There are no specific requirements for most tours, though clothing should be comfortable and suitable for the weather. If you’re going on a walking tour, it’s important to have the right footwear and be prepared for inclement weather. If you’re on a longer tour and staying in a hotel, you may wish to bring something slightly smarter.
It’s a good idea to contact me as far in advance as you can – certain times of the year can get very busy. If the tour is at short notice, do please still get in touch and I will make effort to accommodate you.
You should try to book as early as possible if your tour clashes with a major event such as a rugby international in Cardiff, a concert or festival.
The reservation made for you constitutes a binding legal agreement.
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required on acceptance of a booking date.
The booking is confirmed on receipt of the 30% deposit.
All tour arrangements and activities are subject to availability at the time of booking. No contract shall be made until the deposit has been paid, whether or not booking confirmation has been issued. The balance is to be paid within two weeks of completion of the tour.
Cancellation by us
In the event of circumstances beyond our control e.g. civil unrest, strikes, road closures, terrorist attacks (including adverse weather conditions and adverse road conditions) we reserve the right to cancel any tour at our discretion. In such cases, we will refund any monies paid and without further liability, cancel the contract.
We reserve the right to cancel any tour at our own discretion. In such cases the limit of our liability to you is the return of any monies paid.
Cancellation by you
Where you cancel the tour reservation, the effective date of cancellation will be the date that we receive written notification. If you cancel up to 14 days prior to the commencement of the tour then 100% of the final payment (outstanding balance) will be charged.
